Ethical Sourcing & Transparency - Going Above and Beyond

At Rylee + Cru Collective, we are deeply committed to ethical sourcing and transparency in our production processes. We go above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our manufacturing meets the highest standards. Here's how we prioritize these principles:

Direct Collaboration and Personal Visits: We work directly with a dedicated merchandising team located in all of our factories. This close relationship allows us to maintain constant communication and oversight of our production. We personally visit both our merchandising team and production facilities on an ongoing basis to ensure that everything is produced to the highest possible standard in the best production houses.

Code of Conduct Agreement: All our products are made in partnership with factories that must sign a code of conduct agreement with us. This agreement encompasses crucial components such as a commitment to no child labor, no forced work environments, and fair wages for workers. It reinforces our values and ensures that our products are ethically produced. The main enterprise overseeing the factories has been a trusted source for some of the world's best brands since 1992 and specializes in producing high-quality children's garments.

Recognition of Social Responsibility: In 2018, the factory that produces our Rylee & Cru brands was honored as the "Outstanding Case of Social Responsibility of Chinese Private Enterprises" by the National Federation of Industry and Commerce. This recognition further highlights our dedication to responsible manufacturing practices.

Certified Social Responsibility: Whenever possible, we choose to work with factories that are WRAP certified. WRAP is the world's largest independent certification program focused on the apparel, footwear, and sewn products sectors. WRAP certification ensures compliance with 12 core principles related to ethics and social responsibility. Our partnership with WRAP-certified facilities reflects our commitment to maintaining high standards and promoting responsible practices in our industry.

Additionally, all Rylee + Cru factories are either BCI or BSCI certified. These certifications aim to transform cotton production worldwide, by addressing the the potentially negative impacts of cotton growing and processing. We are part of a global community sharing in this commitment. Through the certification and auditing process, our factory partners commit to continued improvements that are measurable for the environment, farming communities and the economies of cotton producing areas.

Chemical-Free Premium Fabrics: We carefully select fabrics that meet our stringent requirements for safety, natural origin, and premium quality. Every fabric used in Rylee & Cru Collective garments and accessories must be sustainably made, ethically produced, composed of natural fibers, and dyed with natural dyes. We ensure that our fabrics are free of antimicrobial chemicals, formaldehyde, pesticides, phthalates, PFCs, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This ensures the safety and well-being of our customers and the environment.

Sustainability Initiatives: We are dedicated to minimizing waste and reducing our environmental footprint. All Rylee & Cru Collective packaging, including polybags and hangtags, is recyclable. We believe that even small efforts, such as sustainable packaging, can make a significant difference in reducing unnecessary trash. By sourcing the best cotton and materials, we create longer-lasting garments and accessories that are not disposable. Our goal is to offer items that can be cherished, worn, loved, and shared with others, rather than being wastefully discarded.

Apparel for Good: As a small business, we strive to use apparel as a tool to make a positive impact. We are committed to giving back whenever and wherever we can. To learn more about the initiatives we support through giving, please visit here.
