Noralee Sourcing & Production Values
Ethical Sourcing & Transparency - Going Above and Beyond
At Rylee + Cru Collective, we have a deep commitment to ethical sourcing and transparency in production. We go above and beyond to ensure that our products are made with integrity and that the people involved in the production process are treated fairly.
To maintain a high standard of production, we work directly with a dedicated merchandising team present at all our factories. This team continuously checks on our production and maintains regular communication with us regarding our sourcing practices. We value this critical relationship and personally visit both our merchandising team and production facilities to ensure that everything is produced to the highest possible standard.
Our Rylee + Cru Collective brands are designed in California and made in China. To uphold our ethical standards, we partner with factories that sign a code of conduct agreement with us, encompassing crucial components such as the prohibition of child labor, forced work environments, and fair wages. The primary enterprise overseeing the factories has been working with some of the world's leading brands since 1992, employing over 30,000 individuals across various sectors and locations. Their specialization in high-quality children's garments aligns with our commitment to excellence.
We are proud to share that the factory producing our Rylee & Cru brands was recognized in 2018 as the "Outstanding Case of Social Responsibility of Chinese Private Enterprises" by the National Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Certified Social Responsibility
Whenever possible, we prioritize working with WRAP-certified factories. WRAP is the world's largest independent certification program, focusing on apparel, footwear, and sewn products sectors. Obtaining WRAP certification entails more than just passing an audit. It involves a collaborative approach to social compliance, where WRAP works closely with facilities to ensure ongoing compliance with 12 core principles related to ethics and social responsibility. Our commitment to certified facilities means active engagement in maintaining effective management systems to meet compliance requirements.
Additionally, all Rylee + Cru factories are either BCI or BSCI certified. These certifications aim to transform cotton production worldwide, by addressing the the potentially negative impacts of cotton growing and processing. We are part of a global community sharing in this commitment. Through the certification and auditing process, our factory partners commit to continued improvements that are measurable for the environment, farming communities and the economies of cotton producing areas.
