As we turn our calendars to September, we would like to draw special attention to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every day, over 1,000 children around the world are diagnosed with childhood cancer. In support of these brave children and families, The Rylee + Cru Foundation has donated $25,000 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer.
ALSF began with one lemonade stand hosted by Alex Scott, a 4 year-old girl battling neuroblastoma, who donated all her earnings to childhood cancer research. In her short 8 years of life, Alex raised over $1M for research to help find cures for children like her.
Since its founding in 2005, thousands of children, families, and companies have hosted their own lemonade stands to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Donations to ALSF are also used to provide emotional, financial, and logistical support to childhood cancer families to help make their challenging journey more manageable.
