Our AW20 Enchanted Forest collection draws inspiration from enchantment and extraordinary imagination. We love the way books can take you to new fun places! While the temperature may still be hot, cool crisp days are on the horizon.
Here are 4 books that give us that fall feeling:

Apple Cake: A Gratitude

This book is simple and rhythmic. It teaches children, and reminds adults, to be grateful for all of the things around us, perfect for Thanksgiving. Follow a young child as she collects all of the ingredients to make an apple cake, and thanks the trees, hens and cows as she goes along. If you’re feeling inspired, make the apple cake using the recipe included at the back of the book!

Fletcher and the Falling Leaves

The Fletcher the Fox books are a series that follows a fox as he explores the seasons, nature and makes friends. In Fletcher and the Falling Leaves, Fletcher tries to save the leaves on his favorite tree. When the last leaf falls, Fletcher gets a wonderful surprise. This book (and series) is perfect for the young reader who is curious about nature.

Thank You, Omu!

Author, Oge Mora, explains that "Omu" (pronounced AH-moo) means "queen" in the Igbo language of her parents, but growing up, she used it to mean “Grandma”. Omu makes a delicious stew that everyone in the neighborhood wants, and she generously ladles a portion to each neighbor that stops by. Has she been so generous that she has nothing left for herself? Find out in this Caldecott Award winning book!

Gilbert the Ghost

Follow Gilbert, the friendly and polite ghost, as he goes to Ghost School. This book is beautifully illustrated, and with its whimsical cover, it will look great sitting on the bookshelf.
